About COH Church

Who We Are

A multigenerational church in the heart of Pacific Pines, where families are welcomed, community is strong, and faith is lived out together.

Our Mission

Our mission captures the way we live out our calling as a church family.

Reach

We reach people right where they are, with love, truth and the message of the Gospel, so that every heart can encounter the hope of Jesus.

Raise

We raise people into Christlike discipleship through biblical teaching, genuine community, and everyday faith in action, so roots grow deep and faith is lived out daily.

Release

We release people into their God-given purpose, to serve, lead, and walk in their God-shaped gifting, sent out to make a lasting impact in the world.

Story of Faith and Community

Our Journey as a Church

The story of COH Church (City on a Hill) can be traced back to the 1960s with the establishment of a church in Southport. In the late 1990s, that church planted an outreach into Studio Village, which has since grown into the COH Church family today.

We are part of the wider family of Acts Global Churches (formerly Apostolic Church Australia), a Pentecostal Movement with its roots in the Welsh Revival of 1904, and now established in more than 100 countries around the world.

COH Church is led by Senior Pastors Brad and Kim Otto, who bring more than 30 years of senior ministry experience, having pioneered churches regionally and nationally. Their passion, along with their amazing team, is to see people encounter God, journey with Jesus, discover their God-given purpose, and be equipped to make a difference in their world. (Reach Raise Release)

As our name reflects, we desire to be a “City on a Hill” (Matthew 5:14)—a church that shines the hope and love of Christ into our community and beyond. We are committed to raising disciples, developing leaders, and partnering with what God is doing both locally and among the nations. Above all, we are a church where people can belong, grow, and thrive in God’s purpose for their lives.

We hope you can find your place in COH, where we like to say, “a church where families grow.”

Statement of Faith

What We Believe

  1. We believe in the one true and living God who eternally exists in three persons in unity: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  2. We believe in the Divine inspiration and authority of the Holy Scripture.
  3. We believe in the original perfection of creation; the inherent corruptness of humanity through the Fall; the necessity of repentance and regeneration by grace and through faith in Christ alone, and the eternal separation from God of the finally unrepentant.
  4. We believe in the virgin Birth, sinless life, atoning death, triumphant Resurrection, ascension and continuing intercession of our Lord Jesus Christ, His Second Coming, and eternal Kingdom reign.
  5. We believe in the justification and sanctification of believers through the finished work of Christ, their security as they remain in Him, and their future resurrection in an incorruptible body.
  6. We believe in the Sacrament of Baptism by immersion, and of the Lord’s Supper.
  7. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit for believers with supernatural signs, empowering the Church for its mission in the world.
  8. We believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit for the building up of the Church and ministry to the world.
  9. We believe that God wants to heal and transform us so that we can live healthy and blessed lives in order to help others more effectively.
  10. We believe in Christ’s leadership of the Church through the ascension ministries of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers, for the unity, maturity and growth of the Church.
  11. We believe in the privilege and responsibility of wise stewardship of all that God has given, including the practice of tithing to the local church.
  12. We believe that the covenant of marriage is the union of a man and a woman who have voluntarily entered into a loving, committed and exclusive relationship for as long as both live.
